What is actually validated
Status is not promoted because the application looks finished. Each next level requires a new kind of evidence.
985e66dc2ebeecf8- 01Data and compiler gateCURRENT
DATA_VALIDATEDSchema, sources, assemblies, openings, stock fit, framing/hardware invariants and calculation outputs must remain internally consistent.
- 02Geometry validatedNOT VALIDATED
GEOMETRY_VALIDATEDRequires recorded software and visual verification of 3D/drawings/cut parts, not merely successful data loading.
- 03Engineering reviewNOT VALIDATED
ENGINEERING_REVIEWEDProvisional framing, fastener, moisture, thermal and service details must be reviewed for the actual construction method.
- 04Physical prototypeNOT VALIDATED
PROTOTYPE_BUILTA physical example exists with documented deviations, photographs and a final safety inspection.
- 05Field validationNOT VALIDATED
FIELD_TESTEDThe model has documented real-world use. Even this status is not a universal safe-temperature guarantee.
Transparent thermal estimate
Steady-state envelope transmission estimate. It does not include a validated entrance-infiltration model and is not a temperature guarantee.
This only scales steady-state transmission through wall/floor/roof. ΔT is not an outdoor temperature or guaranteed indoor temperature; infiltration, wind, framing thermal bridges and other effects are not added.
- No validated entrance infiltration model
- No validated airflow model for the provisional ventilation insert zones
- No wind pressure model
- No animal metabolic heat credit
- No transient heat-storage model
- No 2D framing thermal-bridge correction
- No explicit corner/end-grain edge-return thermal-bridge model
Reserved high-rear zones
These are not prescribed vent-opening dimensions. The compiler only reserves zones that avoid provisional framing; the actual cutout and net free area remain specific to the selected adjustable vent insert and physical validation.
The zone is a coordination reserve, not proof of adequate ventilation. After construction, condensation, odor/moisture and local drafts must be checked; the actual vent insert or its setting may need adjustment.
Purpose-built heating zones
The compiler reserves one zone in each chamber, but does not specify power, voltage, thermostat behavior or improvised wiring. The selected product must be purpose-built for animals and installed to its own instructions.

Zones are coordination geometry, not an electrical design. Adapters, controllers and unprotected connections do not belong in the animal space. Cable-entry BOM items only reserve protected routing for a selected compatible product.

Sheet layout
Actual part geometry is shown with a solid outline while the dashed rectangle is the conservative packing envelope. V1 still packs trapezoids by bounding box, so it is not polygon-optimal nesting. Material % measures actual part area; envelope % is the space reserved by the algorithm.

Cost estimate
Quantities come from the model. Prices are not fabricated: enter what you actually pay locally and the estimate stays in your browser.
Sheet, XPS, framing and hardware quantities come from the compiler. The estimate still excludes delivery, tools, labor, local taxes and unforeseen losses beyond the stated allowances. PROVISIONAL and product-specific items remain explicitly labeled.
How to use the model in winter
Construction alone is not enough. Placement, moisture, bedding, weather and routine inspection directly affect real-world shelter performance.
- This is an auxiliary outdoor shelter, not a substitute for keeping a dog indoors during dangerous cold or severe weather.
- The shelter should remain dry, protected from direct drafts and raised from cold or wet ground.
- The dog needs enough room to stand, turn and lie normally, while excessive interior volume makes heat retention harder.
- Regularly check water, bedding, moisture ingress and entrance condition.
- During extreme cold, snowstorms or freezing rain, safe indoor shelter takes priority.
- Ventilation should limit excess humidity without creating a direct local draft. The PROVISION zone only coordinates location; the actual vent insert requires real-use verification.
Usable interior space
These values are not manually duplicated. The compiler derives them from external dimensions and construction thickness.
Per-animal area and volume are geometric comparison metrics. They are not veterinary, legal or welfare minimums.
Initial cut list
The list includes exterior panels, interior linings, segmented insulation and dividers. Entrance cutouts are derived from the same canonical model.

Quantities and geometry are a V1 workshop plan. Fastener spacing uses an APA reference pattern as a conservative starting point, but it is not a certified fastening design for this product.

Steps follow the model configuration. Heated variants automatically include a dedicated step constrained to purpose-built equipment.
Build the raised base
Assemble the compiled grid of vertical supports and horizontal runners. Use a suitable isolation foot/pad below each support to keep timber off wet ground; adapt anchorage and bearing details to the actual site.
Assemble the insulated floor
Enclose the insulation between lower and interior floor panels so the animal cannot access it.
Assemble walls to the compiled joinery plan
Front and rear walls remain full width while side walls fit between their inner planes. Use the compiled side lengths/heights and entrance dimensions; do not extend side panels through the corner zones.
Weather-protect the four exterior corner edges
Install compatible exterior corner trim/sealing over the vertical joints so cut panel edges are not exposed to water. The selected trim and overlap must follow the exterior finish system.
Reserve the high-rear ventilation insert zones
Transfer the compiled PROVISIONAL zones to the rear wall and keep them clear of studs. Do not cut the final opening until a specific adjustable vent insert is selected; its cutout and net free area are product-specific.
Install insulation and interior linings
Dry-fit the XPS, enclose it with the interior linings and confirm that no insulation edge is accessible to the animal.
Install roof and waterproofing
The roof falls from front to rear, making the rear edge the natural runoff edge. Select a roofing system that explicitly permits the compiled slope, follow its layer/overlap instructions and detail edge/drip protection so water sheds behind the shelter, away from entrances.
Install a compatible purpose-built heating product
Follow the heating product manufacturer instructions; mains adapters and unprotected connections do not belong in the animal space.
Perform the final safety inspection
Check stability, sharp edges, water ingress, ventilation, entrances and interior dryness.
Sources and limitations
A source supports a method or welfare guideline; it does not turn this specific model into a certified product. Physical validation has a separate status.
